brendalaA little holiday inspiration is always fun! So toss me ideas of Halloween-themed doodles you'd like to see! I can't promise they'll all get done by Halloween. But I'll do my best to get them all drawn eventually! :)

This one can either be a Batman AU or just Human-Sly crashing the police department's Halloween party.
And here's idea #2
My idea for this one is that Carmelita "accidentally" ordered the skimpy Catwoman costume in the wrong size (and also just happened to get a Batman outfit that was a few sizes too big). ~_^

It's so hard to choose just one subject. But I think I'll go with....
A drabble involving that "Sly Cooper in the Talespin Universe" AU we gushed about a while back. Try to include both Carmelita and Penelope if you can. :)

Date: 2013-10-08 01:55 am (UTC)"Come on, Kit!" Molly said as she dragged Kit down the dock. "You got to see her! It's really her!"
"Molly, her who?" Kit asked befuddled. One minute he was sitting reading comic books and the next he found himself being dragged around like one of Molly's dolls.
Molly hushed as she slowly cracked open the door. "Look!" she whispered.
Kit peered inside. Mrs. Cummingham sat at her desk with that Fox Inspector that had come in earlier that morning.
"You'll want to double your locks here and you must make sure to guard the cargo around the clock," said the Inspector as she tapped onto a map.
Mrs. Cummingham sighed. "Inspector Fox, I do appreciate your concern, but I can assure you that Higher For Higher makes guarding our cargo a top priority." She rose to put away a file. "Especially if it's a job by the university to guard a priceless staff-"
"Which is wanted by Sly Cooper," said Inspector Fox. "And he is by far no ordinary thief."
"And so is my pilot, believe me," said Mrs. Cummingham. "He's one of the best pilots when it comes to dealing with air pirates."
Inspector Fox sighed and shook her head "Rebecca, you know I wouldn't bring this up if I didn't feel it wasn't a concern."
Kit blinked. Wait? Rebecca? Did they know each other?
Mrs. Cummingham nodded. "Okay, how about a compromise then. You come on the plane to guard yourself, but no one else."
"Fair enough," the Inspector replied, as she showed her gun. "I am the best suited with dealing with him."
"Not to mention," Mrs. Cummingham said with a grin. "Dealing with pranksters like the ones back in school, remember?"
The Inspector. "Oh, don't remind me-"
"See, Kit!" Molly said excitedly. "It's her!"
Kit shook his head and looked down to Molly. "Her who?"
"Danger Woman!" Molly said as she pointed. "It's really her?!"
"What? No, Molly," he pulled her away from the door and took her back down the dock. "That's just the Inspector, you know the one that's hiring us to transport that old staff."
"But she looks just like her!" Molly insisted.
Kit sighed and pulled her over to where Wild Cat worked, maybe he could at least distract her. However, he paused. Wildcat was with someone?
A boy wearing overall stood over Wildcat as he pulled out some old parts. "And this one is called Sally," Wildcat said and he handed the boy a sprocket. "Oh, and this one is Larry." He wiped the grease from his hands. "That enough Pen?"
The boy adjusted his glasses and laugh. "Its is, thanks Wildcat, you saved my bacon."
"Ah, bacon's really good, especially with toast- Oh! Hey kids."
"Wildcat, who's this?" Kit asked as he pointed.
"Oh, this is my friend Pene," Wildcat replied as he wrapped an arm around the boys shoulder. "He just came to borrow some spare plane parts."
"You're a mechanic?" Kit asked as he looked over him. He couldn't put his finger on it, but there was something odd about this guy.
"Yeah, but I'm more of a pilot," Pene said as he twirled one of the parts. "And my plane's grounded until I get some new parts in."
Molly blinked. "Pene, why are you dressed as a boy?"
"Huh?" Kit asked. "Molly, what kind of question is that?"
"Because Pene's a girl."
Pene stared wide eye along with Kit. "Molly!" he hissed. "That's really-"
Suddenly Pene burst out laughing. "Wow, you got good eyes kid! Not even my boyfriend realized when we first met!"
"....So, you are a girl?" Kit asked stunned.
"Yeah, I just dress as a boy to get less hassle from the other pilots," she glanced at her watch. "And with that said, I better get back to my crew."
"Wait, you should met Rebbecca before you go," Wildcat said. "She'd love to met ya."
"She can't, she's talking to Danger Woman," Molly said.
Kit sighed. "No, she's not, she's talking to Inspector Fox."
Pene choked. "Inspector- Oh, wow, look at that, I really got to go!" She hastily waved bye to Wildcat. "I'll catch up with you later Wildcat! Promise!"
Wildcat scratched his head as Pene suddenly ran off. "Geez, wonder what gotten into her."
Kit raised a suspicious eyebrow. "I wonder.."

Date: 2013-10-08 06:04 am (UTC)--I LOVE the idea of Rebecca and Carmelita being old friends from school (probably high school or college?). It really fits them.
--Molly dragging Kit to the office to show him "Danger Woman" is so cute. I don't remember if Talespin ever showed/described what Danger Woman looked like, but I can imagine Carmelita fitting the bill.
--Since Penelope and Wildcat are buddies in this AU, I imagine her having conflicting feelings about stealing that cane from Higher-4-Hire. And I get the impression that, in your story (which, again, is AWESOME) Wildcat doesn't know that Penelope is a part of the Cooper Gang.
--I LOVED how you had Molly peg Penelope as a girl at first glance. Talespin made Molly out to be very perceptive about people. So it makes sense for her to notice something like that.
....now I'm consumed with the desire to make this into a comic or a storybook type thing. If I ever do it and get it on DA, I promise to credit you!!!

Next up, some random brainstorming about what Bentley's wheelchair would be like in the Talespin AU (and the different way his romance with Penelope would play out if she joined the gang before Neyla entered the picture). And a cute picture of Molly and "Danger Woman"

Note: I didn't have a copy of the fic with me at work. That's why none of your verbatim dialogue is in there. Next time I'll remember to print the story and take it to work. LOL

Sure, that's fine go ahead. Playing around with AU are really fun.
Also, I can see a later scene of Molly sneaking along with Sly's group, trying to help "Danger Woman" and Sly tries to convince her he's a good guy by saying he loves "Danger Woman." I can see Becca going Momma Bear on him later.

I can see her losing the "Phineas" disguise after being with Sly's gang for a while and choosing to grow her hair out later on. I just imagine that she hates living a lie and hiding under baggy clothing 24/7 just to get by without harassment. And I also think that having a team of awesome pals to back her up gives her the courage to pursue piloting openly (and perhaps assisting groups like the Daughters of Aviation).

Yeah, I REALLY dig the idea of these two being extremely dorky teenagers (and Carmelita helping Rebecca with her cold feet on her wedding day). XD

Another thing I liked about your take was Kit's intuition about Penelope being somewhat shady (even though he sympathizes with her plight). This touch is very in-character for him.
