I know everyone else has picked this one already. But there's a damn good reason it keeps coming up: After a season of crazy sexual tension, it was a satisfying sight to see. And what other couple can say they had their first kiss/make-out session in a nebulous void of shoujo manga bubbles?
Yeah, the amnesia cop out totally sucks. But I subscribe to the fanon theory that Gourry remembered it. ~_^
