Art post: "No piscine in the pool"

Just one of my random non-fanart scribbles:

A while ago, I had to work at an event next to a public pool. So I tried to discreetly draw the swimmers there without looking like a total creeper. LOL
And the title of this piece is an old joke/pun my high school French teacher like to tell ("piscine" is the french word for swimming pool and it sounds a lot like the word "pissing"). The pun is totally crass and immature. But because of it, I NEVER forgot how to say "pool" in French. XD

Well, I think in one of her snarkier moments, Mme. Governale might have...
...no, this one's definitely a Dhennin thing. Man that guy was awesome pants. Like... if Jade from Tales of the Abyss spoke French. Always sassing back at the doods who thought they could get away with shenanigans behind his back.

Date: 2013-06-19 06:13 pm (UTC)Yeah, M. Dhennin was kind of intimidating if you've never met a French dude before-- tall, "SERIOUS BUSINESS FOREVER" face, and a very noticeable accent, but after awhile that all became second nature and he would bring on the sass and it was SO MUCH WIN. Thus, comparisons to Jade. XD
though, they both kind of fixated on me, I dunno why... novelty of a "late-stage converter" since not too many Juniors take level 1, or that I was a Mexican who flopped out of Spanish, or that I could draw, or that I kept obliterating everyone else in test scores and the other students thought I was really a closet native speaker looking for an easy ride, or... something. o_o;
