FANART DUMP: "Kiss the Cook" and "Naptime"

I drew these for the fanart challenges in the dinkley_rogers  comm a while back and I thought some of my LJ pals might like to see them, too.


"Kiss The Cook"
This one was inspired by this one-page gag comic (and the wonderfully dorky pun in it).






"Naptime"
I wanted to do more Shaggy/Scooby/Velma BFF pics because I needed something to remind me that these characters weren't always selfish, unloveable assholes (no matter how much that other show keeps trying to tell me otherwise).

Fun Fact:
The second drawing (the one with "grown up" Shaggy, Velma, and Scooby) was inspired by a scene in King of the Hill where Hank and Peggy were cuddling with their dog Ladybird.

"First Kiss"
I didn't bother inking this one because it was just a quick drawing I did to play around with Shaggy and Velma's height difference (it's one of the things that makes them so much fun to draw together). ^_^

My favorite is the naptime when they're kids, but I love the perspective of the adult naptime photo. You've come such a long way as an artist, and that picture really shows it.

I wish I could take full credit. But I used the King of the Hill scene I mentioned as a reference for that picture. So it wasn't all me. ^_^;
