In an effort to boost Velma's self-esteem and body image, Daphne talked Velma into entering the annual Miss Coolsville Beauty Pageant with her. However, she ended up regretting this decision when Velma was officially declaired "The Hot One" by the pageant judges (and Fred & Shaggy) and Daphne was demoted to "The Clumsy Bimbo who exists only to get kidnapped and make The Hot One feel even hotter by comparison".
