I'll open with a comic I'm hoping to make into a series about all the colorful types of people you meet at a con:

-Shy Stalker: You meet a LOT of these when you cosplay. They can be girls, too. But 9 times out of 10 they're boys. The behavior seems creepy; but most Shy Stalkers are just PAINFULLY socially awkward.

-Loud Panel Guy: There's always at least one at every panel. This comic was inspired by a dude I had the misfortune of sitting next to when I went to The Gathering of the Gargoyles. He talked back to the panelists (even though they clearly couldn't hear him), shouted dopey jokes/commentary/praise in response to EVERYTHING Weisman&Co said, and did loud, annoying cheers throughout the whole panel.

There's no story behind this one. I just felt like drawing Wonder Woman. I tried to make her look like her New Frontier incarnation because New Frontier has my favorite Wonder Woman design (instead of looking like a cosplaying supermodel, she actually has a stocky build and looks like she could kick anyone's ass).

COSPLAY COUPLES:
I love seeing couples cosplay together at cons! All of my con-going pals who've had boyfriends/girlfriends have done it and, one day, I hope to find a special dorky guy who'll dress up with me, too.
**dreamy sigh**

This drawing is based on a real couple I met at San Diego Comic Con. Sadly, I didn't have my camera handy when they passed by me, but I never forgot them.

I'm trying to keep fanart to a minimum in this sketchbook because I want to challenge myself and do more original stuff. But these two just refuse to stay out of my head lately:

oooh, I love couple cosplays and family cosplays myself! I'm seen families with dressed up kids (I will never, ever forget the family or green link, zelda, and their kids redlink and bluelink). I've also seen Carmen and waldo myself... so cool.

Okay, I never saw the shy stalker or the loud panel attendee myself, but I sincerly believe they exist. Like magical unicorns of annoyance.

Family cosplays are the cutest things ever! I've seen some pretty cool ones (the Megamind promotional event was full of them), but that Zelda family sounds adorable.
My favorite cosplayer ever (who I sadly never got a photo of) was an elderly woman who dressed as Kaede from Inuyasha. She was a DEAD RINGER for the character and just looked awesome.

You've NEVER heard the Loud Panel People at a convention panel before!? Really!? O_o
....wow. Either you've just never sat close to one or Canadian Cons are just more civil than ours.

Shy Stalkers tend to only follow cosplayers and the "celebrity" guests. So you might meet some once Namesake gains some popularity.

I also kinda avoiding to panels where I figured people whould be out of control. I dub those "fangirl panels" (though boys who scream about the presenter being god count too). I go to a lot of education panels. Like last year : Origami, kimono designs, calligraphie... I seriously avoid things with celebrities. I'm afraid of their fans. Also, I don't know what to say. A lot of people wish to meet their favorite *insert medium here*. I wish so too, but I would like to have a conversation with them. Not just shout "You draw good and I love you!" (which is what happens when I have no time). When I meet internet celebrities, it's usually because I know them a bit on a more personal level :D

I've become more into "education panels" lately, too. Celebrity panels are only fun if you're REALLY into whatever the subject is. And even then, sometimes it's not worth it. I remember attending a Teen Titans panel with my sister many years ago and it was intolerable because of all the screaming fangirls! >_<

I usually get nervous and tongue-tied when I meet someone I admire at a con. But I do my best to avoid being creepy and/or annoying.
