This comic doesn't have any spoilers in it. So all the folks here who haven't seen the episode yet and don't want the ending ruined can safely view it. And, believe it or not, this comic is also 100% snark&bitterness free!

I know episode 14 was all about letting the mascots solve the mystery and letting Scooby be the star. But....

....I don't think I'm alone in wishing that we got to see more interaction with all the human Mystery Solvers. How would the Jabber Jaw kids get along with the Speed Buggy gang? Would the Teen Angels hit it off with Mystery Incorporated? What would they even talk about? Well, I tried to find out:

We all know that EVERYONE who watched Captain Caveman wondered why the hell three smoking hot teenage girls would hang out with him! I mean, I would understand if he looked like Brendan Fraisier; but he looks like a dust bunny with feet! O_o

Stupid trivia time: I peeked at the Captain Caveman wiki after I drew this comic. And it turns out that the stupid bimbo of the Teen Angel team (the girl in the striped shirt) and I share the same name. LOL

Addendum: Special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ichiban_victory  for helping me figure out how to tame Photoshop and condense this comic down to one page! ^_^

I never understood the appeal of Captain Caveman, to be honest. I remember watching his cartoon as it was coupled with the Scooby Doo cartoon of my childhood...or something, but to this day his design grossed me out (seriously? He's just covered in hair?), but I'll never forget, "Captain! Cave! Man!" "....and son!"

I have absolutely no idea who Teen Angel is.

The Teen Angels are the three girls who solved mysteries with him in the original Hanna-Barbera series (I think Captain Caveman & Son was a spin-off or something). I never knew they gave that character a son. I really wish I didn't know that because now I can't stop wondering who the hell would want to "mate" with him. Thanks a lot, Diane. >_<

I don't think Captain Caveman was ever that popular. He sure as heck didn't last as long as Scooby did.

Yay, Wikipedia. I was wrong on my Hanna-Barbera shows. It was on the "Flintstone Kids" cartoon of the 80s, which I can't really say was worth watching. Captain Caveman and Son was what they watched, so it was a show-within-a-show. I think it's safe to say that Captain Caveman can join all of the other characters out there that seem to magically come up with kids. It always seems like the ugliest characters reproduce. ....okay, not always, since Goofy somehow had a son. I still don't know how to explain that...

(I think the 80s had an infatuation with caveman characters. I'm feeling the need to go read up on Bubba and Tootsie from Ducktales now. At least he was cute! ...and not hairy all over...)

**runs to YouTube to watch Flintstone Kids intro**

*sigh* I LOVED that show when I was little. I'd look up episodes on YouTube. But I'm afraid it wouldn't hold up to my childhood memories.
