I recently started thinking that I should find a good book and/or website for long hair care and style reference. Lo and behold, I saw this comm featured on the LJ front page just now.

Bless you, Livejournal. Here's hoping it's a good comm and not too troll-heavy. I know the idea of people trolling a hair-care comm of all things is bizarre. But I've learned the hard way that some people have a really creepy fetish when it comes to chicks with long hair (and the movie Tangled certainly hasn't helped with that problem :P).

I don't think it's bizzare. There's a community dedicated to LUSH cosmetics, and a lot of that is filled with hair care stuff. It's just such a pain to take care of at times. Mine's never been any longer than just below my shoulder blades, but you and another good friend both have very long hair. Icka's goal is to grow her hair out to her ankles.

I don't think I'll ever grow it out to my ankles (I already have issues keeping it above my neck for work!), but I've thought about growing it out to my knees.

your hair's soo pretty! i thought about growing out my hair a while ago but i think it would take me forever. i haven't had long hair, longer than my shoulders, since i was like 5. All of these years, its been some variation of short but one year in high school, i did have it almost to my shoulders. Hopefully its a good comm for you with tons of info. Sometimes when im at the store, i peek at the hair style magazines and some of them have some good pics and articles regarding styles.

Up until about 4 years ago, I always kept my hair like yours because I didn't like maintenance and I assumed that long hair was a hassle. But long hair isn't that time consuming once you're used to it.

Long hair is seriously some people's kink? O_o Wow... And I am totally jealous of people that can grow long hair and have it look good. Always wanted shoulder length but mine has too much body and gets curly at the ends. T^T
