I was watching my Pup Named Scooby Doo DVDs yesterday and a certain episode inspired me to draw this:
--

The episode in question is called "The Wrath of Waitro" and in it Shaggy fantasizes that he's his favorite superhero (Commander Cool). In Shaggy's goofy adolescent fantasy, Daphne plays the role of the mayor who sends him on missions and Velma plays the role of the damsel that he eventually saves from the villain (complete with Velma swooning over him and saying "my hero"!). It was so cute that I just HAD to draw a version of the scene with the grown-up versions of the characters!
Oh, and y'know what the funniest part of the fantasy sequence is? Both of the girls are there but Freddie is nowhere to be found! LOL
*sigh* Doesn't it suck that a goofy, slapstick show starring pre-teen versions of the gang got the Shaggy/Velma thing down better in one episode than Mystery Incorporated has in the past few weeks? :-P
