Whoo! Evolution-R is mine!

I finally got my copy of Slayers Evolution-R (SQUEE!). But I'm a little mad because the indie DVD shop I usually get my anime from didn't have it today (even though I pre-ordered it WEEKS ago). When I called them at 2:00pm and they STILL didn't have it; I got impatient and decided to just drive to Best Buy and get a copy there (even though Best Buy sucks and their anime is totally overpriced).
I don't want to be too mad at the indie store for not having it in stock. I've never had problems with them before and it could have been caused by something beyond their control like a shipping delay. But I can't help being a little aggravated when I realize that I could have pre-ordered from Right Stuf instead and gotten that sweet, con-exclusive Lina coin out of the deal.

Oh well. I'll go cheer myself up with dubbed Evolution-R (I'm on disc two and it's awesome so far). ^_^

Yay! I can't wait to watch the dub version. I've even been good and made sure not to watch the dub episodes online.

I did the same thing with Slayers Revolution and I'M STILL WAITING FOR MY COPY! @_@ It stinks because the owner of the store is a nice guy and he's frustrated as I am too since he has other orders from Funi that hasn't arrived yet. Apparently, Funi takes A LOT longer with orders from smaller stores than with big chain stores like Best Buy, which is why I ordered Evolution-R from RightStuf this round.

I would have bought Revolution from another store, except none of them have it yet. I'll just pick it up when my family goes to the states in a couple of weeks.

Dang. It sucks that Funimation is so bad about sending DVDs to your store.

My indie shop has always gotten discs promptly on their release date before now (even the obscure anime stuff). So that's why I was so surprised when Evolution-R wasn't there yesterday.

This really surprised me too. I had ordered DVDs from them before and they were slow, but they have never been this slow. The latest before this was Spice and Wolf but that was only late by a few weeks. It's very weird. @_@

You're lucky! I went to Best Buy yesterday to get the DVDs as well, but I didn't see any on the shelf at all. I don't know whether that means they sold out or they didn't get them in yet. So I'm still DVD-less. I'm really looking forward to the dub! I want to see the crazy episode with the fish people dubbed especially,

When I got to Best Buy there was only one copy of Evolution-R (and a bunch of copies of the 1-3 boxset and Revolution). I'm not sure if it's because they sold other copies or because they just didn't order very many. I really hope its the former!


And the 'Fishperson Melodrama' episode is AWESOME dubbed! Veronica Taylor is great and the embellished lines are hilarious!

Sadly all we get are are clean versions of the OP and ED and trailers for other shows.
We don't even get a credit-less version of the last scene in the final episode! :(

ahh that sux, wonder why they couldn't do that. also i would have loved to hear the casts thoughts on dubbing slayers again. ugh
