I found these images floating on my computer and I figure everyone here who enjoyed the Disney Afternoon as a kid would get a kick out of them. Legend of the Chaos God was a crossover of all the popular Disney Afternoon shows (Talespin, Rescue Rangers, Goof Troop, Ducktales, and Darkwing Duck) and it was published in Disney Adventures magazine back in the mid-1990s. It starts with the Talespin cast finding (and re-hiding) a cursed artifact in the 1930s and then the casts of the other shows find it and defeat it in their respective eras. It's really fun!
Chapter One: Talespin

--

Chapter Two: Rescue Rangers

Chapter Three: Goof Troop

Chapter Four: Ducktales

Chapter Five: Darkwing Duck

Does anyone else think this crossover would have made a KICK ASS movie? ^_^
The only nick-pickey flaw in the story is the fact that there's no logical way the Rescue Rangers' universe could possibly be connected to the anthropomorphic worlds of Talespin, Goofy, and the ducks. But I can let that slide.
I wish we could have seen a grown up Kit and/or Molly helping Scrooge and Professor Bisk at the end. But I can understand why they were left out. After all, since Bisk's father is dead, the kids reading this story might assume that Baloo and Becky are also dead if they see a middle-aged Kit or Molly running around without them. And that would be depressing.

Date: 2010-05-13 01:28 am (UTC)I remember this story and I've spent the last few years in hopes someone posted the scans of it. In otherwise, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I think this would have made an amusing movie (although I do agree that the Chip and Dale bit felt a bit odd since they're suppose to take place in our world. XP)
By the way, I hope you don't mind if I added you to my friends list.no subject
Date: 2010-05-13 03:32 pm (UTC)I also have scans of some of the old Talespin comic books. If you're interested I could post those, too. One issue in particular is VERY good because you get more of Kit's backstory and Molly tells him what happened to her father.
And I totally don't mind being added to your friends list (as long as you don't mind being added to mine). ~_^

Not a problem. Equivalent trade as they say. ^_~

Date: 2010-05-13 03:18 am (UTC)Though if you are into WarHammer you know that you can never truly defeat Chaos... Yeah I'm a nerd. ^_^

...I guess I'm not nerdy enough for your references. LOL

Date: 2010-05-14 03:27 am (UTC)Yeah don't mind my tangents too much. I'm hip deep in nerd stuff... Except for Star Trek, could never really get into that. But if you ever get a chance or the urge I suggest giving the WarHammer lore a skim, it's neat stuff. Chaos is just so much fun!
