Library of Congress to permanently archive all Twitter posts.
Why the hell is this being done!? 98% of all Twitter posts consist of boring attention whores chronicling what they ate for dinner and how much they love/hate a particular celebrity (and doing so with atrocious grammar). The library of congress shouldn't be keeping track of that. Twitter is not literature. It has no place in a library!

Date: 2010-04-16 07:08 am (UTC)*sigh* Stuff like this makes me glad that the social networking fad was in it's infancy back when I was a dumb teenager. If Twitter had been around (and easily accessible) when I was a kid, I shudder to think about how much stupid crap would be sitting in the Library of Congress waiting to come back and embarrass me.
