According to comic vine and other nerdy news sites, a small comic company is releasing a Darkwing Duck 4 issue mini-series this month!! O_o

I wish I knew who the writer is. I'd be more excited about this if I knew the writer was a good one (**please be Tad Stones**).
I'm VERY surprised to see this news considering that the only other Disney Afternoon show to get a recent comic (Gargoyles) didn't sell well despite having a religiously devout fanbase and it's own freakin' convention. I suppose they're trying to use Darkwing to latch on to the current Superhero/Batman fad. But that's a bit of a stretch.
I wonder if this will lead to other Disney Afternoon shows getting comics. I know I'd be on cloud nine if I could see Talespin get a proper send-off in comic form. Talespin doesn't get nearly as much praise and love as it deserves (the animation on the planes is breathtaking even by TODAY'S standards!). And it still breaks my heart that it didn't get a movie or a finale episode.
