Faith in humanity officially restored!

A few days ago, I was at work fixing up a school garden (the same school where I met the happily pregnant 13-year-old). My co-workers and I spent hours doing the very unglamorous job of spreading mulch. The kids weren't forced to help us today, but during their recess some of them actually asked if they could help us work! O_o
The kids genuinely enjoyed helping us out and they got a lot done in only 20 minutes! It was so sweet that they wanted to make our jobs easier! I had such a bad first impression of the school. But I'm relieved to see that it isn't as bad as I initially thought.
On another happy note, next week I'm going to visit my parents' house for Spring Break! I can't wait to be back in sunny, warm Southern California again! The snow here in Colorado has been nasty lately and I am so sick of having to dress in tons of layers. :-P
Another good thing about going home is that my scanner and PC are still there. Which means I'll finally be able to post some fanart here. WHOO-HOO!!
