7) Favorite Season
NEXT, hands down! That season does a FANTASTIC job of balancing goofball comedy, action, and melodrama without giving the audience whiplash. The plot twists are genuinely surprising. And all the characters get a chance to shine and develop as the series progressed.

Best of all, none of the characters felt like they were thrown in for no reason. Even Martina (who started off as a dopey comic relief foil for Lina) ended up becoming important to the story and becoming an amazing character in her own right.

8) Favorite Character that only appeared in one episode (anime or OVA)
Hard to say. It's a toss up between The Peacemen and Rowdy Gabriev. The Peacemen because they were hilarious and Rowdy because he was just a fun character (and Lina saving her future boyfriend's ancestor is just hella romantic).

9) Favorite Spell
Ragna Blade! It's powerful and badass and, best of all, it draws upon the Lord of Nightmare's power without that pesky risk of world annihilation!

10) Favorite Episode
The Peacemen episode of TRY.
I mostly like it because it's the first Slayers episode I ever watched (I saw this episode in my High School anime club years before I discovered the series proper). It cracked me up even when I knew nothing about the series and characters because the sentai parody was spot on and hearing it voiced by Pokemon actors was just icing on the cake.

Plus, Gourry and Amelia have a surprising amount of comedic chemistry. It's a shame they didn't get more chances to interact one-on-one in the anime.

11) Favorite Scene
The magic makeout at the end of NEXT! Because you rarely get to see that kind of sweet shipper porn in an anime like this

Second place goes to the scene where Auntie Aqua shows Lina the alternate past where the Giga Slave she used against Rezo went wrong. It was nice to see Lina (a VERY arrogant character) eat a piece of humble pie and realize that there are consequences to her reckless actions. After that scene, she was forced to really think about her actions before actually doing them. And you could tell that it really threw her off when the shit hit the fan later on.
