Day 22 - Best and worst trait of Pinkie Pie?

--Best trait:
She's the "cheerleader friend". And everybody needs at least one relentlessly chipper cheerleader friend to keep their spirits up and remind them to enjoy life and not sweat the small stuff.

I also like how she's one of the most complex characters on the show. It's implied that her "party girl" personality is partly there to cover up an insecure fear of being abandoned and/or not having any friends (which is a pretty common thing with this type of person in real life).

--Worst Trait:
She can be REALLY clingy and annoying. And she doesn't seem to understand that a friend saying "I need some space right now" is not the same as a friend saying "I suddenly hate you. Go away forever".

Speaking of Pinkie's clingyness, I was a bit disappointed when her behavior was justified in the Gilda episode. Pinkie Pie acted like a stalker and continually went out of her way to intrude on Rainbow Dash and Gilda when they were hanging out and, presumably, seeing each other for the first time in years. Gilda had every right to hate Pinkie's guts after the way she kept bothering them when they tried to politely tell her to leave them alone for the day. But the show went and justified her behavior by saying, "Well, Gilda turned out to be a bitch. So now everything that Pinkie did is OK". No, it's not! And I really wish that that episode's lesson had been:
"Sometimes, one of your friends is gonna have a buddy or two that rubs you the wrong way (and vice versa). And you're just going to have to find a way to deal with it. And you don't need to be joined at the hip with someone to be BFFs"
When I was in elementary school, a lot of my friendships ended because I couldn't deal with one of my gal pals being friendly with a girl I couldn't stand (and I saw it happen to a lot of other kids, too). So that lesson would have been WAY better for the target demographic.

Day 23 - Favourite Pinkie Pie scene?
It's a toss up between the "assaulting him with cake" line and the scene in the baby sitting episode where she told Twilight to get the **** out after Twilight implied that she was too spacey to take care of two babies.

Day 24 - Best and worst trait of Fluttershy?
Her best trait is her kindness. She's a lovable little sweetheart who just wants to help all the ponies and animals around her

Her worst trait is her crippling shyness and her inability to assert herself. It's not a character flaw per se; but it's something that makes her life harder than it needs to be.

Day 25 - Favourite Fluttershy scene?
I love her fashion rant to Rarity when she was getting her Gala dress made. The fact that she's a closeted fashion snob feeds my head-canon belief that Fluttershy came from a really wealthy (and likely snobby) family back in Cloudsdale.
