1. Reply to this post with "ICON ME!", and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

[livejournal.com profile] sarajayechan 's picks:

1.

This is a good icon for holidays (mainly Jewish holidays). And I just think it's hilarious because, let's be honest, about 98% of Jewish holidays center around eating a crapload of food to celebrate the latest averted genocide.

2.

I started using this as my default "gal pal BFFs" and "comfort LJ friend about bad news" icon back before I realized what a feminist nightmare the show it came from turned out to be. I've been using it less and less lately and will probably replace it as soon as I find something that expresses the same idea without all the baggage. :P

....however, I am tempted to keep it as a "femmeslash" icon because I believe that those particular incarnations of Velma and Daphne would have been MUCH better off if they had abondoned the boys and started making out with each other. ~_^

3.

This is one of my favoite icons. I made it myself as soon as I finished capturing the images for this episode review. It's one of my personal favorite Shaggy/Velma moments because it's just so freaking adorable.
I also like to use it for cosplay related posts because of the goofy outfits they're wearing.

4.

This is my favorite "LOL" icon. It's taken from the sit-com The Facts of Life (I believe it's from the "Sex Symbol" episode). I found it in an icon post at a Blair/Jo shipping comm. I'm not really into the Blair/Jo ship; but I love the show and I love this scene, so I ganked the icon.

5.

This character is Sae Sawanoguchi from the criminally under-rated anime Magic Users Club. This is the only icon from that show that I've ever found, so that's why I like to use it.
Magic Users Club is amazing. It's cute, it's fun, it has a FANTASTIC dub, and watching it just makes me happy. It kills me that this show has virtually no fandom and no mainstream recognition outside of this one great review by ANN's Justin Sevakis (which is how I dicovered the show).

[livejournal.com profile] theflowergirl 's picks:

1.

This is taken from this talented artist's Mystery Incorporated fanart (it was drawn before the show and it's redidtions of Shaggy and Velma fully sank into the toilet). I like to use this as a "bow chicka wow wow" icon. But lately it's been increasingly replaced by this icon that I made myself...

2.

See above post

3.

I like Sarah Palin and voted for her in the last election...
***dodges rocks and flames***
...so I couldn't resist having at least one icon with her picture. However, I only use this icon when talking to my right-of-center LJ pals because I prefer to use LJ as an escape from political wank (I get enough of that in real life :P)

4.

This used to be my default cosplay icon. But now I mainly use it for posts about Jem, the 1980s, and hair.

5.

This is the icon I like to use when talking about sexism and Feminist issues. I made it around the time I wrote my "The Fridging of Velma Dinkley" essay because I realized that I was making a crapload of posts/comments about how Mystery Incorporated was screwing over Velma AND Daphne and I needed an icon that reflected my feelings about that.
Thankfully, in addition to being an awesome show that passes the Bechdel test, A Pup Named Scooby Doo is also a goldmine for icons that express virtually anything you want.
