Found a new doodle pen! Test drawings below! (plus Earthstar's Sly Cooper AU)

So my search for a new doodle pen lead me to the 99 cent store that just opened near my house. These pens aren't perfect; but they work almost as well as the brand that I can't find anymore

Here are some of my test doodles. I tried to draw a little of everything to make sure it worked:

earthstar_moon 's Sly Cooper AU
Joann, Stu, and I recently brainstormed ways to make Sly Cooper 4 not suck.
FYI, I have dubbed Sly 4: Thieves in Time "the-game-that-shall-not-be-named" because, like the-SHOW-that-shall-not-be-named, it's a sexist piece of shit that fridged two of my all time favorite fictional ladies!!
...*ahem* Anyway, here's the AU pictures and the texts that inspired them (the full geeky brainstorm can be found here)


--End game, Sly 5 would be about the warped alternate timeline. Maybe Bentley's collecting Clockwerk parts as the leader of this reality's Klaww Gang - and The Murray is the terrifying leader of the Fearsome Five.

--Stu also came up with that idea that when Sly fights AU Bently and Murry, we realize that if he hits them with his cane their memories from the original timeline come back. Thus Bently explains, it's because the cane is from the original timeline (It's not exact science I know, but the games act like a Saturday morning cartoon.)

Artist Note: I liked this idea best. Having these gals as a team is WAY better than seeing them freeze to death in a refrigerator.
And I opted to improve on Penelope's jumpsuit design in Sly 4 (which wouldn't have bothered me if it hadn't come with a boob job and a tummy tuck >_<). Though it might have been a mistake to make her look so similar to a certain other famous mouse-girl mechanic/pilot.
I also opted to have AU-Carmelita wear her dorky reading glasses full-time because I just liked the idea (perhaps AU-Penelope pushed her to let go of her vanity and just wear the damn things all the time LOL). And I gave her a catsuit because a new thief identity calls for a catsuit.

Final verdict: Very good quality for a pen I got as a 4-pack at the 99-Cent Store. For now, this'll suit my scribble needs nicely! :)

He he! These are great! I loved Inspector Sly and the Carmelita and Penelope drawings. (I liked the glasses idea too.) And the bopping Bently on the head makes me laugh. I'll have to start sketching some things too. ^_~

...Murray in an Ominous Trenchcoat of Evil. Appropriate. It hides something I realized.

So, it's funniest if 'The Murray' is, in the AU, in charge of one of the gangs - in this case, the Fearsome Five. For that to be the case, he has to be fearsome enough that Raleigh, Muggshot, Ruby, and particularly Panda King all follow his lead.

So. Not the most creative of ideas, but here we go. Let's assume that without Sly there, he and Bentley went separate ways - and a fat stupid hippo gets bullied a lot. End result: something like Muggshot's backstory, where The Murray bulks up to make sure no one can ever bully him again.

This goes horribly right. The AU Murray is stronger than the canon one. I like to imagine Sly discovering this when he starts getting sheds thrown at him.

I'd lean towards rivalry - they were at the same orphanage, but without Sly there, events transpired such that they did not get along. Maybe a team-up to escape the orphanage that went badly enough that each blames the other for forgotten slights.

It doesn't have to be too deep, given the material, just another thing for Sly to see that is horribly, horribly wrong.

This would be a kickass scene!

And a fun boss battle!
