Some people are disappointed that she didn't pursue law like she was going for in BMW, but business ownership is just as ambitious!
Also, people change their minds/goals during or after college all the time. So Topanga not having the exact career she dreamed about when she was 20-years-old isn't a total betrayal of her character. Also, like you said, business ownership is pretty badass and ambitious. Some fans are acting as if the new show has her working at McDonalds or Hooters or something and it's pretty ridiculous. :P
And apparently, Feeny's gonna make some appearances.
Rumor has it he's going to have a somewhat regular role in the new show. Which I would love to see because it would be AWESOME to see Feeny still acting as the Matthews' family therapist well into his 90s! XD
