Scooby probably just changed his tune when he remembered how scary the ghost was and now saw Velma's "undesirable" status as an asset. Yeah it was more about him than it was about her, but I'm just glad he stopped being a jerk. And I'm not sure anything this show's done since him physically threatening her has been as bad as that. That, along with everything Shaggy/Scooby/Velma related in those first set of episodes, was the show's lowest point for me. No, not even Shaggy's recent escapade could top it.
