Lastly, Mayor Jones' apparent asexuality suits his character. He's never shown interest in any gender, and I hope he never does! Seeing an asexual character in a show where the romance is a part of (mostly) everyone's lives, is quite refreshing, you know? Besides, the romance would have interfered with his goals. Face it: romance and one's obsession with a supposedly "cursed" treasure do not mix.
