So, today I made it to the final boss battle of Tales of Symphonia. I kick the boss' ass, the pretty finale cartoon starts up, and then....my Wii tells me it can't read the disc.

>_< F%#$#K!

The worst part is that this is the THIRD copy of Symphonia to give me problems! The first copy was purchased at Gamestop by a friend of mine; and I had to return it because the first disc was horribly scratched. The second copy was purchased at an independent game shop and it also had a non-functioning first disc. So I traded in copy number two for copy number three a few weeks ago. And copy number three worked just fine (aside from shutting down whenever I tried to view one particular skit O_o) until it decided to die on me at the worst possible time!
It's like the universe doesn't want me to play this game. Which is sad because I really loved it. Why, oh, why couldn't this have happened back when I played that godawful Tales of Legendia!?

This really sucks! I was so totally looking forward to using my grade for a New Game+ and trying for all the endings. Now I'll either have to borrow my pal Yoshi's copy or go back to the game store and pray they have another copy in stock for me to trade in (luckily, the store is independently owned and very nice about trading in non-functioning discs).
DAMN IT!!

As for the game itself...it was fantastic. I wanted to review it here. But I can't until I get a functioning copy (and watching the ending on YouTube just isn't the same).
