Painting experiment...
Mar. 20th, 2010 10:01 pmI've been inspired by all the folks on my friend list who use watercolors in their art. So I thought I'd whip out my old paint set and my notebook full of bristol paper and try my hand at it. If anyone more experienced with painting wants to give me some helpful tips, please do!
( Lina vs Zuuma under the cut )
I used a combination of acrylic paint and watercolor because that's what I had on hand. And I used colored pencils to color in tiny details (like Zuuma's eye and the gray in Lina's talismans). The picture isn't perfect, but I think it's pretty good considering I haven't used paint in years.
I think I might just abondon my colored pencils in favor of painting from now on. Painting big backgrounds is WAY easier on the wrist than scribbling them in with colored pencils. >_<
