FAN ART: The Sly Cooper / Rescue Rangers AU crossover!!
Here is the continuation to this previous doodle brainstorm post.

So, here it is. The Cooper Gang is wreaking havoc in the Rescue Rangers' hometown!
Artist Notes:
The recent re-kindling of my Sly Cooper fandom got me thinking that a cross-over between Sly and a certain group of Disney animal crime-fighters would be the greatest thing ever made.
Obviously, their universes don't mesh at all (the Rescue Rangers live in the human world while Sly's universe is completely anthropomorphic), so putting them together required some AU tweeking.
--Since animals in the RR world are just normal animals, Sly's gang would have to operate differently. And, since their sizes and builds wouldn't be human-like anymore, there would be challenges regarding how Murray (a giant hippo) would work into heists. I decided that he would be the getaway vehicle (so he's playing the role of his beloved "Team Van" XD).
--I imagine that RR-Sly's schtick would be stealing stuff from humans because it would provide more of a challenge (and perhaps he believes that they deserve it)
--I would include Dimitri and Penelope because they are awesome (and Bentley/Penelope remains my OTP no matter what the new game's canon says!). That's not to say I wouldn't like to include The Guru or Panda King. I just haven't figured out how they'd work into this story.
--For those who haven't played Sly 3, Penelope is a character who is VERY similar to Gadget (an intelligent mouse girl who serves as the team's pilot/mechanic). So I imagine those two having a bit of a rivalry when they initially meet.
--Bentley would still use the wheelchair (either because he was crippled and/or simply because being a turtle makes him too slow to do field work without one). But, being an animal in a human world, he'd have to make his wheelchair (and other mobility devices) out of materials his friends scavenge for him.

The other scenario that could work is if you made it so the Rescue Rangers fit into the anthropomorphic world of Sly Cooper. Maybe they're like the A team that often get called in when things get too tough for the police?
Granted, the idea of Murry being the get away van is hilarious and adorable. Either way could easily work.

My sister works at Gamestop. Her store has them (I just checked), and I could get them all cheap with her employee discount and ship them to you (but it would have to be soon, she's giving her two weeks notice on Monday and moving on to another job next month).
I'm serious. The ONLY good thing about working at Gamestop is the sweet employee discount. If you're OK with me shipping them to you, I'd love to do it. :)
