Best of all, according to Capcom's website, EVERY SURVIVING VOICE-ACTOR IS RETURNING!!!

That's right, even Alan Young and June Foray (who are both pushing 100 freakin' years old!!!) are coming back to us! I can honestly say that this news has made my year. Even if the game sucks ass, hearing Young and Foray portray these characters again will be well worth whatever price this game sells for!


Fun Fact:
I met June Foray at a Holiday party back in December. When I saw her, I asked her sign a Ducktales book and she mentioned that she was doing new Magica DeSpell dialogue for a "game show". For months, I have racked my brain trying to figure out what kind of "game show" would need Magica dialogue (and would go to the trouble of hiring June just to get it). Now I know! And I can't help wondering if she was confused when she told me that or if she was just trying to mess with me. XD

I knew there was SOMETHING to that weird dream I had a couple weeks ago (the one about the secret reboot of Scrooge's origin story that was neither based on DuckTales nor the original comics but leaned towards Life and Times). Have you seen this mess yet? If you can tune out the dudes playing it, you can kinda hear Scrooge and Magica sassing each other before the boss fight.

Presuming they're using all the characters, it looks like the only voice actor they'd have to replace is Hal Smith. I wonder who they could tap as far as a voice match goes... (also I would bookmark this since it doubles as a handy English voice actor listing).

I wish those dudes had shut up during the cutscenes! I wanted to hear the Scrooge/Magica trash talk clearly. :(


They'd also have to replace Hamilton Camp (the guy who played Fenton/GizmoDuck).
I don't know off the top of my head who could take over the roles of Gyro, GizmoDuck, and Flinthart. But I'm pretty sure that anyone who is a big enough Ducktales fan to make this piece of beauty will sincerely try to find the best possible matches.

She was correct in saying "game show", actually, as the game was revealed at PAX East. Regardless, I never got to play the original (I didn't grow up with an NES), so I'm looking forward to this!

I never played the original either (I was a Genesis kid). A few years ago I snagged a Gameboy copy, but I never managed to beat it. The game is good. But like most old school platformers, it's REALLY hard and takes some trial and error to master.
