Dale and Gadget (Rescue Rangers)
"It's not fair, Gadget! Everyone ships you with Chip just because he has that kick ass bomber jacket and nicer teeth!"
Everyone likes to pair Gadget up with Chip, but I think she fits better with Dale. Gadget and Dale just have a lot more chemistry together. I think that, if she got together with Chip, he’d eventually get annoyed by her ditzyness once the novelty of scoring the hot mechanic wore off. Dale, on the other hand, seems to like her offbeat personality just as much as her looks. So I think they’d be more likely to be happy long term.
And I always thought there was something to the episode where the Rangers played a practical joke on Dale (Double-O-Chipmunk). In it, Gadget disguised herself as a femme fatale and, as part of the joke, gave Dale a big romantic kiss...
I couldn't find any screenshots of the kiss scene. So you'll have to take my word for it
...and then she told Chip that she was just “getting in character” when he got pissed off about her kissing Dale. Yeah right, Gadget. ~_^

Day 22 - A pairing you hate and no one else understands why?
Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley (Harry Potter)
Most of the fandom (save the nutty hardcore fans who wanted Harry to hook up with Hermione/Luna/Draco/Snape/whoever instead) seems to be happy with the way Ginny and Harry hooked up in canon. But their lack of chemistry coupled with the sheer randomness of how they got together just makes it impossible for me to tolerate this couple. And it’s not because I shipped Harry or Ginny with anyone else; I just didn’t like the way their interactions were written and I thought that they went from perceiving each other as good friends to perceiving each other as “OMG!SOULMATES” very suddenly and without any real development or explanation.
It also REALLY bothered me that most of Ginny’s positive character development was thrown out the window once she became “Harry’s girlfriend”. Rowling did such a good job gradually building her up from the lovesick puppy dog she was in book one to the confident, popular athlete she was by book 5. And it ticked me off to see Rowling reveal that all of Ginny’s new-found chutzpah and her active dating life was all just an elaborate ruse to cover up the fact that she had continued sadly pining for Harry for all those years. **barf**
As much as I hate to diss Rowling; I think she dropped the ball when writing those two as an item because I actually didn’t mind seeing them hook up in the fan-made Harry Potter musical (which is AWESOME! Go watch it on YouTube if you haven’t yet!). So I’m not saying the couple could never work out believably. I just hated the way it played out in the books.
