Art Dump of randomness

Sorry for the lack of posts. Work and life has kept me busy.

I've been trying to do more original stuff and less fanart just to keep the creative juices flowing. So here's a few examples of my bored lunch break scribbles of originality....

Random group of kids
Children are a bit of a challenge for me to draw. So I wanted to see how many unique looking kids I could scribble on to one page.

Next up, DUDES!
Males are another thing I have a bit of trouble with. So I tried another "draw a bunch of unique characters" challenge here

CHICKS!
I think I'm pretty decent when it comes to drawing unique women. But it doesn't hurt to practice

Dopey, generic fantasy drawings
Because EVERYONE loves Tolkien-esque fantasy!

Okay....ONE piece of fanart.
I randomly got the urge to draw Hunchback of Notre Dame characters. But what I ended up drawing was so horribly off model from the Disney version that it kinda sorta falls into the "original design" category. LOL

Hope you guys liked 'em!

And still, in the first drawing, I saw one girl who looked a bit familiar. I mean the one with the glasses on her nose... ^_^

Don't you even THINK about feeling bad about it! Understood? ;) Seriously, I like it that in your style, even Quasimodo can look cute - even though in the book, it was said he was terribly ugly.

Bisous! :*

My initial thought when drawing them was that I wanted to make them look like Shaggy and Velma's grandkids. The little boy's design was taken from this fanart: <http://brendala.livejournal.com/134947.html>
I'm honestly impressed that you caught that. YAY for you!

And thanks for the compliments! Bisous back to you!

Now that you mention it - I remember this comic. It's the one where Shaggy is, hmm... a bit suspicious about his future son-in-law a.k.a. the kids' (they LOOK like bro and sis, anyway) future dad - right? ^_^
Speaking of the family stuff - could you draw Shaggy and/or Velma's parents spending their time with THEIR grandkids? Not right now, bien sûr - I know you have to work - but maybe one day...? /insert Pup-Velma's big puppy* eyes in here/
* - If you pardon the pun... :)

Yeah, leave it to me to see a girl with glasses and try to find a resemblance between her and Velma... XD And the "YAY" goes to my internal Sherlock Holmes. :D

And thanks for the compliments!
You're welcome, dear.

Sometimes it seems that boredom scribbles are better practice than sitting down with intent to practice drawing. For me it's because I'm not afraid of messing up a doodle, so I'm more likely to stumble on better techniques by accident as I bumble around the margin of my notebook.

Having lots of free scribble time at work has inspired some interesting stuff. And being at work means I can't use reference pictures as a crutch.

BODY TYPES! Aw yeah. Always good to practice. Nobpdy likes a story full of clones.

Totally! Whenever I feel like a shitty artist, I remember how many paid professionals haven't grasped the fact that people (specifically, girl people) don't all look the same. And I feel a little better because I know how to do something that a lot of pro artists haven't bothered to learn. LOL
