FANART: Freddy's Intervention

Did you ever wonder why Red Herring disappeared after A Pup Named Scooby Doo? Well, here's my theory...

Yeah, Fred is a little psychotic bastard in A Pup Named Scooby Doo. And I love him for it!

Artist's Note: Sadly, the picture was smushed a little when I merged two separate pages into one via Photoshop. So if anyone is having trouble reading/seeing the comic, tell me and I'll post the clearer scans of the two separate pages.

*laughs* Oh Fred. XD What is it with writers that keep wanting to give him something to obsessed about.

I think Pup did it first and the subsequent Scooby series just ran with it. XD

But I wish Mystery Incorporated hadn't taken it quite so far. Unlike Pup, MI wants to be taken seriously. So Fred's behavior comes across like an undiagnosed metal illness and it's a little uncomfortable to watch.

I know what you mean, I finally got around to watching the Mystery Manor episode. (With that said, a lot more new episodes have been airing here in Canada. Wish I had the technology to record and send them to you.)

Anyway, in the episode, the gang's lives are being threatened, Daphne has almost drown and Fred is just "MORE TRAPS! YYEESS!" @_@ Would have been a good episode for Fred to start thinking just on how obsess he is with traps.

Thanks for the offer! But don't worry. Modding the Scooby comm means I know a bunch of people willing to track the episodes down for me. ~_^

I also thought the pool scene was a big wasted opportunity. And my inner feminist raged a bit when Daphne's reaction to that situation was "Now can I trick Fred into sticking his tongue down my throat! YAY!". -_-

I stuck with the show because I'm curious about the big "Mystery of Crystal Cove". Fair warning, I'm caught up to episode 23. And if you thought all the characters came across as schizophrenic before...you ain't seen nothing yet! And be prepared to HATE Shaggy if you watch episode 18. -_-

....Are Fred and Wieser related?

[identity profile] brendala.livejournal.com 2011-05-28 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
Y'know, I think they might be related! Maybe blaming random red-heads for every crime is a genetic thing!

...we just created a new fanon! YAY!! XD

Scary, scary fanon :P
