Do you think that modern pop music is atonal, amoral garbage?

I have a teenage sister who listens to 'Party in the USA', the new Brittany Spears song, and Lady Gaga 24/7. And, is it just me, or do all modern pop songs sound exactly the same? They're all so electronically muffled that you can't understand most of the lyrics (and the ones you can understand are really gross >_<). My sister thinks I'm just an old fuddy duddy; but I can't be the only one who feels this way.

Luckily, I found a music reviewer on YouTube who feels the same and expresses it in a hilarious way. Watching his videos makes me feel a lot better about being out of touch with the youngsters and their dadgum music. Check it out:

Those kids and their fancy-pants music. I motion we sit on that bench in front of your house and tell those whippersnappers to get off our lawn.

I just find it all rather boring. I can't really comment about the morals part since every generation's guilty in that department (really, the difference is just that newer generations are more blatant).

You have a point about the morals thing. But at least the older bands had to exercise some creativity if they wanted to write a dirty song. Modern songwriters need to relearn the fine art of the double entendre.

I had some sort of context about this but... nah, I just need an excuse to post the Cookie Monster parody of Shaft.
