Brave and the Bold MASTERED glorious camp! It's a shame it didn't last longer.
My guess is that they slimmed Etta down in the movie because she was acting as a "bitchy romantic rival" and they didn't want to make the only overweight female in the movie a catty antagonist. But I still don't see why they couldn't just let her stay big regardless of how she was characterized.
It just bugs me that the only two overweight girls in the DC canon (Etta and Amanda Waller) got slim make-overs in order to make them look like everyone else. These women aren't superheroes. They don't need to be in peak physical condition nor do they need to look hot in spandex. So why not just leave them alone? At least DC gave a somewhat valid reason for slimming Etta down. Waller's make-over cannot be defended. At all.
More girl buddy shows would be VERY nice. It's a shame that the only great one out there is the one featuring magic horses.
